Magicard printers offer the capability of producing a custom printed card that is secured by its patented HoloKote option for card printing. The HoloKote option is a security feature with Magicard printers. This security overlay is secured to a printed card as it passes through the printer. Due to Magicard’s patent, it is the only brand of ID card printer that provides this secure option.

The HoloKote feature is a frosted image that is embedded in the overlay portion of the print ribbon. When the card is printed, the overlay is securely adhered to the front side of the card. The custom information is secured by this overlay and the extra layer of protection is a positive addition to any printed card. The watermark pattern available on the overlay is provided by the printer driver.
